The Galaxy S24 Ultra comes in four regional variants with different model numbers and network band support:
- SM-S928B (Global / Europe / Asia): Exynos 2400 in some regions, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in others. Supports dual physical nano-SIM + eSIM. Compatible with most global carriers.
- SM-S928U (US Carrier-locked): Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Sold through AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and US Cellular. May have carrier bloatware and network locks.
- SM-S928U1 (US Unlocked): Same hardware as SM-S928U but factory-unlocked. Compatible with all major US carriers. No carrier bloatware.
- SM-S9280 (China): Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Dual physical nano-SIM (no Google services pre-installed). Specific bands for Chinese carriers.
When buying a used Galaxy S24 Ultra internationally, verify the model number to ensure it supports the LTE and 5G bands used by your local carrier. A gray-market import may not support certain bands, resulting in limited connectivity or no 5G service.
